tidying up my desk meant i needed a place for the mountains of paperwork that inundate our home on a daily basis. from bills and invitations to school work and school forms needing action. instead of the “in”basket where my paperwork stacks ups and gets buried by the newest items, i decided to have a file on my desk for current items. i look through it a few times a week so nothing gets missed. i would loathe to miss an event we were invited to because it’s buried in a pile and i would curse a late fee incurred from missing the due date on a bill.
i decided it has to look cute so it will keep my studio looking nice and so i will look forward to using it
i took a wire basket and put a file folder stand inside.
i got some heavy duty manila folders and chose the tabs to be all on the same side. i made labels in ms word with my current font crush. and since i didn’t have any file folder labels i just printed it out on cardstock and placed them on the file folders with tape runner.
then i added a cute calendar with little clothes pins to the front of the basket.
i add any dates to my planner that i can’t forget; parties, deadlines, and due dates… just in case! or you can add them to that cute little calendar ;)
here’s the free printable calendar by maeve parker i used. i can’t wait to see what she makes for 2015! i printed it at 70% so it would be smaller than 8.5×11. it’s about 6.5×8.25.
here are the free PDF of file folder labels for you with bonus labels you might be needing :)
works with avery 5266 file folder labels 3″wide X .5″ tall.
enjoy!

krystina
