if you have never seen her, Morro Bay is a splendid little fishing town north of Santa Barbara.
we lived there for about 13 years before we made the move to socal.
it was hard to say goodbye to the quaint little town and her majestic charm; not to mention super amazing friends. so we return now and then for a little visit. we treated ourselves like tourists this time and really enjoyed the beach and the embarcadero. the salt water taffy there is a must. we had so much fun going around Carousel Taffy and picking out our favorites and some new discoveries.
the days were sunny and warm which is unusual there. it’s a lucky visit if you get sun without wind and warm without fog. we sure got it. warm sunny blue skies with calm. we walked and played on the beach. we saw hermit crabs, crabs, sand crabs, sea urchin, pipers, gulls, plovers, jellyfish, and deer. by far the most life i have ever seen on the beach!
we had the best time with friends spending hours at length overstaying our welcome with them knowing it would be long before we saw them again. some amazing people live up there. i sure wish they lived here :)
until next time.
